Company History
MyHealthDIRECT was founded in 2005 with a vision to improve access to healthcare for all. The company’s focus at inception was using disruptive technology to seamlessly connect underserved populations who use the emergency department (ED) for primary care with community providers to achieve coordinated access to care. The application was successfully implemented in partnership with Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee in 2006. After demonstrating success, MyHealthDIRECT deployed its solution in every acute-care hospital in Milwaukee, as well as with the Wisconsin Health Information Exchange (WHIE). The company quickly expanded both its number of clients and the number of settings in which MyHealthDIRECT was helping clients achieve real-time cost containment savings and incremental revenue generation.
In 2009, MyHealthDIRECT was selected by the State of Connecticut to help reduce inappropriate emergency room visits and secure appointments for Medicaid and uninsured patients with community health centers. The contract was funded through CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). That same year in Arizona, MyHealthDIRECT was selected by Banner Health, one of the largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country, to pilot MyHealthDIRECT in two of its Phoenix-based hospitals.
Today our platform is deployed nationally by managed care organizations, hospitals, health information exchanges, Medicaid state agencies, and IPA’s around the country. MyHealthDIRECT, in collaboration with its clients, continues to find innovative solutions for the challenge of providing integrated coordinated care for the both underserved and commercial populations. We are presently deployed in ten states with dozens of solution sets employed by our clients.
Commercial-grade, enterprise-ready.
